10 years ago, I was:
27 years old.
Living in my parents’ basement.
10 years ago, I was not:
Less of a person.
10 years ago, I:
Put together a plan of action.
Moved halfway across the United States to seek out better opportunities.
Decided to do whatever it took to make my dreams come true.
Started learning, working, saving, and investing my butt off.
10 years later, I am:
37 years old.
Financially independent and retired early.
Living abroad in Thailand.
Making my dreams come true.
10 years from now, you’ll be…
Anything you want to be!
10 years doesn’t seem like a very long time.
I can tell you, it flew by. It’s not hard to think back on June 2009. I can even still remember what it smelled like in my parents’ basement (musty).
Time flies. This is why it’s so important to make the most of every single moment in our lives.
We come into this world with nothing. We leave it with nothing. It’s what we do between those two events that matters.
Again, 10 years doesn’t seem like a very long time.
Simultaneously, it is a long time. I completely turned around my life – a total 180 degrees – in that time frame.
But I never gave up. I never stopped believing in myself.
There’s always hope. Tomorrow always comes.
10 years will come, too.
Just imagine what you can do with the next 10 years!
Don’t let time pass you by. Put in the effort now so that you can look back on 10 years with an immense sense of pride and accomplishment.
And set yourself up so that the next 10 years after that is spent living out your dreams.
Where were you 10 years ago? How much has your life changed? Are you taking advantage of every moment? Where will you be 10 years from now?
